With expansive panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina and Back Bay, as well as easy access to Crystal Cove State Park and amenities of The Resort at Pelican Hill, what Pelican Crest offers residents is nothing short of magnificent. Chin’s wealthy international clientele includes film celebrities, movie producers, PGA and LPGA champions, renowned artists, philanthropists and entrepreneurs who are looking for palatial estates as those found in Pelican Crest.

The approximately 150 custom-built homes in Pelican Crest feature a mixture of styles, including Mediterranean, Italian, Spanish and French Chateau. All built to impress indeed and the starting price point in Pelican Crest is about $7 million. “Just very grand, regal, elegant, private, spacious and breathtaking views,” she says. It is a quick drive away to the beach, Fashion Island, South Coast Plaza and Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Of course, for an avid competitive golfer like Chin, Pelican Hill’s world-class golf resort is most attractive and wonderfully convenient.

Chin began her real estate career on the commercial side, she started out as an investment professional on Wall Street in New York City. She worked for J.P. Morgan and Fidelity Investments in Manhattan and Merrill Lynch in San Diego and Newport Beach. She is skilled and well-connected in the commercial as well as residential arenas. Most of Chin’s transactions are referrals or returning business.

“I can offer them the real estate investment advice, but I can also paint them the big picture on their overall estate planning,” says Chin. “Real estate holding is only one component of their tangible assets to help diversify their total investment portfolio. I work closely with attorneys and CPAs; I understand and speak their languages.” Even though she socializes with many high-rollers, Chin is very down-to-earth and approachable. Twenty years ago, she arrived in this land of opportunity to further her education with only one backpack, two suitcases and $500 her parents borrowed from their relatives. “I pride myself for my impeccable reputation!” Chin says.

She has recently set some real estate records. She sold a vacation home for one of her elite clients from the Middle East at an incredibly high unit price of nearly $1,000 per square foot for a residence without a view. Most of the homes without an ocean view in the Pelican Crest community sell for about $850 per square foot. It was so impressive, in fact, she received calls from residents of that community to have her represent them to sell. Chin also had a record-setting all-cash deal of $28 million for an off-water luxury estate in 2016. Even with the tightening overseas monetary policy by the Chinese government, Chin still has many all-cash transactions. “I’m a tough negotiator,” says Chin. “I know my numbers, I do my research, I am thorough, logical and analytical.”
